Gavin returns to the Nationaltheater to conduct the Bayerischer Staatsballett and Staatsorchester in four performances of John Neumeier's innovative production, inspired by the life and suffering of King Ludwig II, as he escapes a theatrical performance of Swan Lake to consider redemption from his torment. Tchaikovsky's dramatic work plays an extremely important part in the connection of these worlds.

Gavin is delighted to return to a company with whom he has enjoyed a relationship of nearly thirty years. Birmingham Royal Ballet take their sumptuous production of Sleeping Beauty by Sir Peter Wright to Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya. Tchaikovsky's fairytale music is performed by the Tokyo City Symphony Orchestra and Osaka College of Music Orchestra.

Gavin returns to Helsinki to work with Finnish National Ballet director Javier Torres on a brand new production of the classic tale of desire, betrayal and forgiveness. Adolphe Adam's legendary and dramatic score has been adapted and edited by Gavin to enhance the narrative, and he conducts the fabulous Finnish National Opera and Ballet Orchestra for eighteen performances spanning autumn 2025 and winter 2026.

A world premiere programme for the Vienna State Ballet in the first season under the direction of Alessandra Ferri, Gavin makes his debut conducting the company in a triple bill of works, with live music involved in two - Heatscape, with Justin Peck's choreography matched with Bohuslav Martinu's first Piano Concerto (with soloist Yoko Kikuchi); and Yugen, where choreography by Sir Wayne McGregor is paired with Leonard Bernstein's Chichester Psalms (featuring the Arnold Schonberg Choir). The other work is Twyla Tharp's iconic work In The Upper Room, to a score by Philip Glass.

Gavin conducts the Vienna State Opera Orchestra for all nine performances.

Fresh from its premiere at Sadlers Wells, ENB presents a double bill of works, one of which features the ENB Philharmonic performing a new score by Harold Walker III and Brandon Finklea (orchestrated by Gavin) to accompany a new work by gifted American choreographer Kameron N. Saunders. This new work appears alongside Crystal Pite's celebrated work Body and Soul (Part One).

A new venue for ENB as they bring their gifts to Plymouth's Theatre Royal for four performances only.
